About MenoCare

MenoCare is a South African platform that will connect women with practitioners who understand menopause. It is being built because finding the right person to talk to is harder than it should be.

How practitioners are verified

Every practitioner will submit their HPCSA registration number and supporting documents. A person will check that number against the HPCSA public register before the practitioner appears on the site. Registration renews annually, and a practitioner whose registration lapses will stop appearing automatically.

What MenoCare does not do

MenoCare does not provide medical advice and does not diagnose. The self-assessment will suggest which kind of practitioner might help — nothing more.

MenoCare also does not handle payment for consultations. You will pay your practitioner directly, on their own terms, which means you will be able to claim from your medical aid under their practice number if your plan covers it.
